Please click on "Requirements" on our MENU bar to review our canine health and vaccine requirements. All required documentation and forms are due before the start of your first class. In addition, the following items are required for all classes with dogs.
1. SHOES - Please wear only flat, closed toe, closed heel shoes to class with a rubber sole (such as gym shoes)
2. COLLARS - All dogs must have a collar with ID tags. Acceptable collars are: leather/nylon buckle or slip on collars, martingale/no-slip collars, any harness, or a head collar (e.g. Gentle Leader or Halti). Absolutely no choke, pinch, or shock collars will be allowed in class! If you feel your dog needs a training collar, we recommend Gentle Leader head collars, Easy Walk Harnesses, or Sporn Harnesses to name a few. Standard neck collars should be fitted so you can not fit anymore than 2 fingers flat under the collar.
3. HANDLERS & CHILDREN - At least one adult handler per dog is required for group classes. Our general rule is children less than 10 years old should not come to group dog classes. An exception might be made for mature 8 or 9 year olds. If you have younger children that would like to participate, our at-home training program may be a better fit. Please remember your main focus needs to be on your dog. Therefore, please use your best judgment when determining if your children should come to class. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and remain with that adult at all times. Please do not allow your children to visit with other dog/handler teams unless otherwise specified by the instructor. Children are welcome to participate in the training if they are capable. However, for safety reasons please do not let your children hold your dog's leash.
3. LEASH - 6 ft long leather or nylon leash (no chain leashes)…larger dogs should have thicker leashes. Absolutely no retractable leashes in class. 4 ft leashes are accepted but not recommended. Absolutely no leashes longer than 6 ft allowed unless stated otherwise. Some classes may require a 15-30 ft training lead which would be stated in the class description on the "Training Options" page of our website. When training leads are required, it is in addition to the standard 4-6 ft leash that your dog should be on when arriving to class. Training leads should never be attached to your dog's collar when arriving to class and should only be attached when specified by instructor. Training leads are not retractable leashes. Absolutely NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES in class!
4. TREATS -
- Use your best judgment in choosing treats for your dog.
- Try new treats out prior to class in small amounts to ensure treats agree with your dog and that he likes them.
- Reserve an extra special treat for class that your dog does not get at home. (hot dogs are great!)
- Bring two types of treats to class for variety. If you bring dry treats it is best to also bring moist/chewy treats.
- Bring plenty of treats cut into tiny pieces. It’s better to go home with leftovers than to run out in class.
- For optimal training results, it's best to not feed your dog for at least 5 hours before class.
4. POOP BAGS - Participants are required to clean up after their dogs both inside and outside of facility. Please have your dog eliminate immediately before entering the training facility. Car rides are exciting for most dogs so even if your dog emptied at home, it is best to let him eliminate again before entering the building.
5. DOG BOWL/TRAVEL BOWL and WATER
6. ADDITIONAL ITEMS - Please refer to your class description on the "Training Options" page of our website for any additional items that may be needed. Please also refer to each week's handout given at class for any additional items that may be needed at future classes.

Requirements :: sign-up
-Please click on class of your choice above for important information.
