Requirements:

Training options include: new puppy, levels 1-4 obedience, behavior modification, new baby preparation, tricks/games, and more. Dog Gone Good also offers training for dogs displaying aggression when food or objects are involved. We currently do not offer training for any other forms of dog-dog or dog-person aggression.

Obedience Classes    View Class Schedule
Obedience classes consist of four levels: Family Pet 1, 2, 3, 4.

Family Pet 1 & 2 are Basic Obedience classes. Family Pet 1 includes training in SIT, DOWN, COME, STAY, LEASH WALKING, HOUSEBREAKING, DIGGING, CHEWING, JUMPING, BARKING, BEGGING, STEALING, SEPARATION ANXIETY, FECAL CONSUMPTION, & MORE.

Family Pet 2 will progress training in these commands to improve your dog's reliabilty. Your dog will learn off-limit items, to give eye contact when asked, to show willpower with food (dog and owner’s), to ”Come” quickly and reliably, ”Stay” with distractions, “Heel”, and a few tricks.

Family Pet 3 is an Intermediate Obedience class. This class will advance past the basic commands and teach your dog to listen at further distances and in more distracting environments. Dogs are required to know & be reliable in basic commands before attending this class.

Family Pet 4 is an Advanced Obedience class and will teach your dog to listen off leash. It is required that dogs have graduated from Dog Gone Good's FP3 class before attending FP4.

Tricks Class    View Class Schedule
You will learn how to teach your dog over 20 tricks in this class! Teaching our dogs a variety of tricks is not only a fun way to show our friends and family how smart our beloved pet is...it's also further obedience for our dogs. The more we teach our dogs the more capable they are of learning. If our dogs are challenged and mentally stimulated daily, they live a happy, fulfilled life and are less likely to find destructive ways to occupy themselves.

Puppy Kindergarten Classes    View Class Schedule
Classes run for one hour, once a week, for 6 weeks. Some beginner obedience commands will be introduced in this class to prime the puppy for Basic Obedience. Puppy Kindergarten will also address grooming and keeping your puppy healthy and focuses on socializing your pup. Socialization in the early stages of your puppy’s life is essential for him to become a mentally healthy and stable life long companion. Board and Train Options (doggie boot camp)
We offer Board and Train services at Belle Aire Kennels in Downers Grove, IL. We train your dog while they are boarded at Belle Aire. We have Board and Train packages for all levels of obedience as well as Board and Maintain for dogs that have already been trained and just need to keep training maintained while boarding. We also offer Board and Tricks for some extra fun and mental stimulation for your dog during the stay at Belle Aire. More Information
